Make a tender and juicy pork tenderloin using this simple oven-baked recipe featuring a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. This is an easy pork tenderloin dinner perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a good sear.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the glaze. Set aside half of the glaze for basting later.
  4. In another small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika for the dry rub. Rub this mixture evenly over the entire surface of the pork tenderloin.
  5. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat on the stovetop. Sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  6. Brush the pork generously with half of the reserved honey garlic glaze.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) is reached at the thickest part.
  8. Remove the pork from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze. Let the pork rest on a cutting board for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Slice the roasted pork tenderloin into medallions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an even juicier pork tenderloin, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; remove it from the oven right at 145°F.
  • If you do not have an oven-safe skillet, sear the pork in a regular pan, then transfer it to a baking dish before putting it in the oven.
  • This recipe works well for a quick pork tenderloin recipe, often ready in under 30 minutes total cooking time.
