Ingredients
Scale
1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Spread about 1 cup of the marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
Spoon half of the remaining marinara sauce over the mozzarella cheese.
Place the remaining half of the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
Spread the remaining ricotta mixture over the second ravioli layer.
Top with the remaining marinara sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top layer.
Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Let the lazy lasagna rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, brown 1/2 pound of ground Italian sausage and mix it into the marinara sauce before assembling the casserole.
If you prefer a tangier flavor, substitute cottage cheese for the ricotta cheese.
You can use any flavor of frozen ravioli you prefer for variety in this easy bake recipe.
