Make this sweet, creamy, and fluffy whipped honey butter in under five minutes. This easy homemade butter tastes just like the Texas Roadhouse favorite and is perfect for rolls, biscuits, or toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or use a large bowl with a hand mixer.
  2. Beat the butter on medium speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the honey and ground cinnamon to the butter.
  4. Mix on low speed until the ingredients are just combined, then increase the speed to medium-high.
  5. Whip the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes until the honey butter is smooth, creamy, and fully incorporated.
  6. Add the salt and mix briefly to combine.
  7. Serve immediately, or transfer the whipped honey butter to an airtight container and chill until ready to use.

Notes

  • For a simpler, two-ingredient honey butter, omit the cinnamon and salt.
  • If the butter is too cold, the honey will not incorporate smoothly; ensure it is truly room temperature.
  • This spread works well on cornbread, pancakes, and warm dinner rolls.
  • If you do not have a mixer, you can vigorously whisk the ingredients together by hand until smooth.
