Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper to create the garlic butter sauce.
Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Arrange the thin lemon slices on top of the buttered salmon.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately. This is a great healthy baked salmon option for dinner.
Notes
For crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before adding the butter mixture.
You can substitute fresh herbs like chives or thyme for the dried herbs if you have them available.
This recipe works well for sheet pan salmon meals; add asparagus or broccoli florets to the pan during the last 10 minutes of baking.
