Create a showstopping, rich, and creamy layered dessert featuring Baileys Irish Cream. This no-bake trifle is an indulgent sweet treat perfect for parties.
1 package (10 ounces) chocolate wafer cookies or Oreo cookies, crushed
1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur (for soaking cookies)
Chocolate shavings or extra cookie crumbs for topping
Instructions
Prepare the cookie layer: In a bowl, mix the crushed chocolate cookies with 1/4 cup of Baileys Irish Cream. Set aside.
Make the cheesecake layer: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Fold in 1/2 cup of Baileys Irish Cream until just combined.
Prepare the chocolate pudding layer: Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk according to package directions until thickened.
Assemble the trifle: Use a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving glasses. Start with a layer of the Baileys-soaked cookie crumbs at the bottom.
Add the next layer of chocolate pudding.
Top the pudding with half of the Baileys cheesecake mixture, spreading evenly.
Repeat the layers: Add another layer of cookie crumbs, followed by the remaining chocolate pudding.
Finish with the remaining Baileys cheesecake mixture on top.
Chill the trifle for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.
Before serving, garnish the top with chocolate shavings or extra cookie crumbs.
Notes
For an extra boozy flavor, you can substitute a portion of the milk used for the pudding with more Baileys, adjusting the amount based on your preference.
If you want a firmer cheesecake layer, chill the cream cheese mixture before folding in the whipped cream.
This make ahead party dessert tastes best when assembled a day in advance.
